This has been an interesting week for me. I am in Kenya tweeting about organizations and products that are not related to Blood:Water Mission except that we are all working to address the water and AIDS crises in Africa. - Part of me has been torn by this - I love Blood:Water and our partners. I truly believe that our approach to development and partnership is unique and facilitates excellent work. At the same time, the water, HIV/AIDS, and development fields are constantly evolving and changing, and there are great organizations and products that we do not get the chance to support because we are limited in our reach. This week I am thankful to get to interact with a few of these.
Part of winning the Give Health Blogivation was that Blood:Water received $15,000 from P&G. The other part was this trip I am currently on with Changents, P&G, and their local partners in Kenya. I am excited by what I am seeing and am brainstorming about future partnerships and products that might be valuable for specific situations. I do not know exactly how this trip will impact the future, but right now I am thankful for a chance to exercise my brain through conversations and project engagement.
