40 Days without Bottled Water isn't enough.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
There are over 328 million people in Africa living without access to safe water (that's more than the population of the entire US!). An average American uses 150 gallons of water EACH DAY, while the average person in Africa struggles to find 5 gallons. The water crisis must be addressed, and you can do so without dipping into your savings and without affecting your contributions to previous commitments - all it takes is a change in your daily routine.
+ Stop Buying Bottled Water and encourage others (your school, your company, your family) to do the same. Many businesses and schools across the country are cutting out the sales of bottled water. Get a group together to let your place of work or education know that you don't need it and that they can save money in the process.
+ Make Tap Water Your Only Water Beverage during our 40 Days of Water Campaign
+ Use a Reusable Bottle. Although your public tap water is as safe and clean as bottled water, you can purchase a water filtration pitcher or tap filter for a fraction of the cost of bottled water if you have concerns in your area or just prefer the taste.
+ Keep Track of the money you would have spent on Bottled Water and other drinks outside of Tap Water.
+ Donate the Money you saved by drinking from the tap to help build clean water projects for African communities in need through Blood:Water Mission.
Drink from the tap, so they can go to the well.
