A "Family Business"
Last year, our partner organization in Ndola, Zambia made the transition from constructing bio-sand water filters from a home, to this wonderful new compound. This move has enabled them to facilitate the construction of many more filters, which in-turn provides clean water for many more families. The factory constructs filters and also allows for community members to build their own filter for their family...this puts new meaning to the title "family business."
In the last three years, Blood:Water has been able to fund over 2,000 filters and fund trucks and equipment for our partners in Ndola! It is humbling to think about the impact that these filters have had, and will have, on the Ndola community. We are grateful to be able to work with such amazing people.
