AIDS Knows No Boundaries
Although the Bayaka pigmies of Central African Republic have lived in remote locations in the rainforest for generations, AIDS has still found a way to reach them. It only takes one person becoming infected with the HIV and the potential for the disease to spread to an entire community becomes very high. As HIV/AIDS can be spread in many ways including during the birth and through breast feeding.
