Tippy Taps
A simple, cheap, and innovative solution, the Tippy Tap is a very effective sanitation tool in rural communities. All you need is a jug, string, soap, a stick and a bucket. A string (with soap attached) is hung from the suspended jug, when the the string is pulled, the jug tips and water comes out like a faucet.
Tippy Taps are placed in homes, schools, and by latrines to stop the spread of germs and to keep safe-water sources clean. It's strange, every time we use one, we can't figure out which string is for hot water, and which one is for cold.
