Water on the Way
Although Webster and George (pictured above) do not attend the Mapalo Middle Basic School, they have found this well there to be an oasis for themselves as they travel home from their own school.
This well, funded by Blood:Water Mission, was strategically placed at this school because for many African families, children have the responsibility to bring water home for their families. When a well is placed at a school, children are able to attend school and bring home water for their families after classes. This means instead of walking miles a day to retrieve water while missing school, children are able stay in school, and their families get clean water.
