Unsung Heroes: Zambia - Yvonne
Trained as a Community Health Promoter, Yvonne is now training others in her community who welcome the knowledge of good hygiene and sanitation techniques. They are learning about how diseases are transmitted and this has lessened the spread of diseases like Diarrhea in their community. Now, when using the latrine, they wear shoes and wash their hands after to reduce the spread of bacteria and disease - improving the overall health of the whole community!
